TierraMadreDosPuentes-
MotherEarth(of the)TwoBridges
12 acres right on the crossover line of Texas Post Oak Savannah and the
Pineywoods of East Texas, this is the refuge we've been searching for.
Handy to a large city, close to the small town we've grown to love, it's
nevertheless secluded- 25 acres of forest behind and 400+ acres of family trust
land in front, 2 tree lined live creeks, springs, wetland area, meadows and a hill
topped with a huge Sweetgum tree,
Well off of the four lane highway, down a two lane county main road, and then to
a one lane road, our gate is right between the two wooden bridges that are local
landmarks. Although we are not native Texans, we feel a special kinship with
this place- we are only the 3rd recorded owners, and know the family of the
original deed holders, so can trace the history back to way before Texas was a
star on the flag.
Our goal is to blend our love of nature's diversity and desire to have a safe haven
for wildlife with our dream of a small working homestead. We've qualified for
Wildlife Habitat Exemption, and are listed as a TExas Parks and Wildlife Habitat
Partner.
Living WITH MotherEarth, not battling to subdue her, treading lightly on the
planet, acknowledging and respecting our neighbors both human and other-
Come with us as we give it our all...

Here's our sign.
